Walking with giants

So it is, with a whole career ahead of me, entailing a sea of unforeseen ups and downs, surrounded by an extraordinary group of insightful physicians, I once again heed my mentor’s sage advice: I’ll keep showing up and I’ll keep working hard.

Maybe one day, I, too, will be an impetus of inspiration for some young med student with a new pair of slacks and a crooked tie.

Dr. Horton completed his residency in internal medicine and pediatrics at the University of Utah and Primary Children’s Medical Center in Salt Lake City in July, and joined the faculty there as a clinical instructor and academic hospitalist.
