Dinnertime Dilemma: Eating Out With Small Children

Author and Disclosure Information

I never felt unwelcome in a restaurant. I got a free ticket to come back to a movie because of "noisy baby" – that was embarrassing! I got the evil eye for breastfeeding in the corner in a kids’ shoe store while my husband worked at trying shoes on a toddler.

Keep the restaurants open!

Dining Out, and Away From Kids

I am 63 and I work in a private pediatrics clinic. My husband is 38, and we do not have children. When out for dinner, we ask for a table as far away from children as possible. We usually sit at the bar. We both feel that restaurants should have separate rooms for families with children.
