The authors suggest that, during prophylactic oophoropexy, increasing the number of suspension angles can theoretically decrease the degrees of ovarian articulation and may provide added support to prevent recurrent ovarian torsion. They illustrate their technique in a 16-year-old woman with recurrent ovarian torsion who had previously undergone laparoscopic cystectomy and hormonal suppression, but who continued to report left lower-quadrant pain.
