A 71-year-old woman with acute lymphoblastic leukemia resistant to imatinib mesylate was seen for an inpatient consultation for diffuse petechiae and purpura of 6 weeks' duration. She also experienced B symptoms (eg, fever, night sweats, headaches, nausea) that started around the same time as the skin lesions.
