The US Preventive Services Task Force recently reaffirmed its recommendations on screening for hypertension in adults. In this month’s audio, Dr. Campos-Outcalt describes the recommended protocol for blood pressure measurement, discusses what constitutes elevated BP and hypertension, and explains why it’s important to confirm a high in-office reading in an outpatient setting.
