Tips for A Successful HM12

P lan the meeting as far in advance as you can. Pick which sessions appeal to you most and build the days around them.

R IV poster presentations have grown so big that there are now two sessions. Don’t assume this is just for academics and researchers. The ideas on those posters are potential future standards of care.

E xperts abound in the keynote addresses. Listen to what they have to say.

P re-courses are a huge draw, and an early sellout. If earning CME credit is a priority, register as quickly as possible.

A ggressively network. The meeting is as much about who you meet as what you hear. Build relationships that last longer than four days.

R ely on SHM as a resource. A new “Pathways” feature can help you schedule across tracks. A mobile application for use on site is a useful tool. Ask staff if you have a question.

E nd on a high note by implementing at least one lesson from HM12 when you get back to work.
