Dr. Thakur is the director of the PTSD program at the Kansas City VA Medical Center, Kansas City, MO and a colonel in the U.S. Army Reserve. He served in Operation Iraqi Freedom in 2005 and Operation Enduring Freedom in 2003–2004 and 2006–2007 and is currently deployed to Landstuhl, Germany under Operation Enduring Freedom.
