This month, Dr. Campos-Outcalt summarizes findings from a long-term follow-up study of Women’s Health Initiative participants that offers reassurance for women who use hormone therapy to relieve postmenopausal symptoms. He also describes how the study’s findings lend further support to a US Preventive Services Task Force recommendation against using hormone therapy for the prevention of chronic conditions.
