ABSTRACTThis paper reviews the clinical presentation of gallstone disease, acalculous cholecystitis, biliary dyskinesia, and gallbladder cancer, as well as how to make best use of current diagnostic and treatment methods, particularly ultrasonography, cholescintigraphy, laparoscopic cholecystectomy, and endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography.
