ABSTRACTIt is still too soon to know if a laparoscopic approach is as good or even better than open surgical radical prostatectomy, the gold standard. Early data seem to suggest lower intraoperative bleeding rates, less postoperative pain, shorter hospital stay, and similar rates of oncologic cure, return to potency, and urinary continence.
