Ovarian cryopreservation should no longer be experimental

Key clinical point: A majority of patients who underwent ovarian tissue freezing followed by reimplantation went on to have successful spontaneous pregnancies at a single center.

Major finding: Of 14 patients who had their frozen ovarian tissue reimplanted, 11 women (78%) achieved spontaneous pregnancy, 10 patients (71%) delivered healthy babies and 1 patient (9%) experienced a miscarriage.

Study details: A single center study of 115 patients between 2 years and 35 years old who underwent ovarian tissue freezing between 1997 and 2019.
