Most patients with RIS develop MS within 10 years

Key clinical point: Mounting evidence strongly suggests that radiologically isolated syndrome is part of the multiple sclerosis spectrum.

Major finding: About 34% of individuals with radiologically isolated syndrome converted to multiple sclerosis within 5 years, and 51% did so by the 10-year mark.
