Comorbidity rates remain stable over 10 years in childhood-onset epilepsy

Key clinical point: Overall, rates of any comorbidity are stable in patients with childhood-onset epilepsy.

Major finding: In patients with epilepsy, the rate of psychiatric comorbidity was approximately 62% at baseline and 47% at 10 years.

Study details: A prospective study of 53 patients with childhood-onset epilepsy and 55 controls without epilepsy.
