Key clinical point: A retrospective study suggests the frequency of primary lipid screening is lower among patients with rheumatoid arthritis (RA) compared with diabetes mellitus (DM).
Major finding: Among participants with RA and DM, RA alone, DM alone, or neither disease, the rates of lipid screening were 55%, 37%, 60%, and 41%, respectively.
Study details: A claims-based retrospective analysis of 243,909 eligible participants, 12,182 of whom had RA.
