Psoriasis Patients Often Have Positive Psoriatic Arthritis Screens

Key clinical point: Patients with psoriasis often have undiagnosed psoriatic arthritis and need better screening.

Major finding: In all, 12.4% of patients had a positive screen for possibly undiagnosed psoriatic arthritis but had never been diagnosed with the disease.

Study details: Prospective study of the validated Psoriasis Epidemiology Screening Tool (PEST) in 904 patients in the Corrona PsO Registry who had not been previously diagnosed with psoriatic arthritis.
