Cirrhosis model predicts decompensation across diverse populations

Key clinical point: A prognostic model that uses serum albumin-bilirubin (ALBI) and Fibrosis-4 (FIB-4) scores can identify patients with cirrhosis who are at high risk of liver decompensation.

Major finding: During model development, the hazard ratio for decompensation was 7.10 among patients with high risk scores.

Study details: A prognostic modeling study including 145 patients in the development stage and 234 patients in the validation stage.
