Controlling C. Auris Outbreaks in the Hospital

Key clinical point: C. auris outbreaks can be controlled by a concerted infection control strategy but can be expensive.

Major finding: Clinical infection was significantly associated with prolonged hospital stay, hemodialysis, and antifungal therapy.

Study details: Prospective data was collected from 34 patients in a single center outbreak; risk factors and cost analysis were done retrospectively.
