Katie Lennon, Editor, Family Practice News, has worked as a journalist for more than a decade. Her career has included serving as Editor of CHEST Physician, where she covered respiratory, critical care, sleep, and cardiovascular medicine. Previously, she worked as a reporter for the Financial Times publication, Agenda, and for newspapers, including The Princeton Packet and the South Bend Tribune. She graduated from the University of Notre Dame with a BA in English and she has completed postgraduate biologic science courses.

Mollie Kalaycio Mollie Kalaycio joined Frontline as an intern in April 2017, before being brought on as a web content editor in January. She is a graduate of Ohio Wesleyan University, where she majored in Theatre with a minor in Creative Writing. She also has a Master’s Degree in Professional Writing from Chatham University.


Reporters

Doug Brunk is an award-winning reporter who has been covering health care since 1991. Before joining the company, he wrote for the health sciences division of Columbia University and was on the editorial staff at Contemporary Long Term Care magazine when it won a Jesse H. Neal Award. He has a masters in magazine journalism from the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University. Doug is based in San Diego.

M. Alexander Otto began his reporting career covering the pharmaceutical industry for a national pharmacists' magazine and freelancing for the Washington Post and other newspapers. He then joined BNA, now a part of Bloomberg News, covering health law and the protection of people and animals in medical research. Alex next worked for the McClatchy Company, a major newspaper chain. Based on his work, Alex won a year-long Knight Science Journalism Fellowship to the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 2008-09. He joined Frontline shortly thereafter. Alex has a newspaper journalism degree from Syracuse University and a master's degree in medical science -- a physician assistant degree -- from George Washington University. Alex is based in Seattle.

Mitchel L. Zoler joined Frontline Medical Newss Philadelphia bureau in 1992 and since then has covered more than 300 medical research meetings around the world. Previously, he covered medicine and science for publications including Medical World News, Cardiology Times, Urology Times, Hospital Practice, and Science Digest. A fellowship through the American Association for the Advancement of Science landed him at Newsweek early in his career. Mitchel has a Ph.D. in microbiology and did post-doc work in virology. Kathy Scarbeck, Editorial Director, News, has had editorial oversight of the wire service since its launch in 2006. In her 20 years with the company, Kathy has worked as a reporter, editor, and editorial manager of web and wire service products. She graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from the University of Notre Dame and a Master's of Arts degree in Journalism from Indiana University.
