Cannabis users struggle to quit cigarettes

Key clinical point: Cigarette smoking quit ratios were significantly lower among adults who use cannabis or have cannabis use disorders, compared with nonusers.

Major finding: In 2016, the smoking cessation ratios for adults with a history of cannabis use or cannabis use disorders were 23% and 15%, respectively.

Study details: The data come from an analysis of adults aged 18 years and older via the National Survey on Drug Use and Health.
