Oxymetazoline plus lasers reduces redness in rosacea

Key clinical point: Adding oxymetazoline hydrochloride cream to energy treatments was safe and effective in adults with rosacea.

Major finding: Patients treated with oxymetazoline hydrochloride cream in addition to one of four energy therapies showed significant improvement in erythema from baseline, and 91% showed improvement at 6 hours after treatment on day 56.

Study details: The data come from a phase 4 open-label study of 46 patients with rosacea.
