Laser-Topical Therapy Improves Erythema Associated with Rosacea

Key clinical point: For facial erythema associated with rosacea, optimal results may be achieved with a combination of vascular laser therapy and topical products applied at home.

Major finding: Average Clinician Erythema Assessment scores improved from 3.00 to 1.87 for the laser only treatment group and from 3.07 to 1.64 for the laser plus topical treatment group.

Study details: A pilot study of 30 subjects with mild to moderate erythrotelangiectatic rosacea.
