Vitamin E acetate found in more vapers’ lung fluid

Key clinical point: Vitamin E acetate appeared in the bronchoalveolar-lavage (BAL) fluid of 94% of EVALI patients, but not in healthy controls.

Major finding: Vitamin E acetate was identified in BAL samples of 48 of 51 EVALI patients in 16 states.

Study details: The data come from a review of 51 adults with EVALI and 99 healthy controls.
