A neonate presenting with a density of the right mid-thorax was found, at thoracotomy, to have an ex-tralobar pulmonary sequestration. The sequestration was resected, and the infant made an uneventful recovery. The morphogenesis, diagnosis, and management of this uncommon lesion are discussed.
